Safe Haven Book Review

Since I have been reading Nicholas Sparks’ books for quite sometime, I know what to expect from his book, when I pick it – A soft intriguing love story, with the hero and heroines as benign as they ever can be, blissful times disrupted into gloomy days just to end on the fact that love emerges as the winner in spite of all circumstances. This book “Safe Haven” not an exception to the norm, has it all but in addition, this book is spiced up with mystery and suspense. It starts with the mysterious Katie who arrives in Southport, to lead a secretive life, trying to wipe out her dark past. She works as a waitress and stays aloof forming a wall around her but only until two people – one Alex, a store owner, who lost his wife and has two children and a single neighbour – Jo, enter her life. Katie feels happiness – fear – uncertainty – sorrow – anxious, all at the same time. Alex is extremely understanding and caring and she likes his kids too. But will her past allow her to move on to...
