Almost Single: Book Review

Almost Single is one heck of a book that will do to the readers what it did to me; make them “Giggle” throughout the journey of reading.  I really got impressed with the introduction of the protagonist, at the back cover and picked this one for reading. The book is all about Aisha Bhatia who works as a Guest Relations Officer in a Five Star hotel in Delhi. In her twenty nineth age, when she is still single, she shares with the readers her dilemmas – how the world looks at her, how her mom nags her for marriage, the stories of her friends in similar situations, her work life, etc.. She portrays beautifully the lighter side of her everyday’s life – pompous show made at her hotel for VIPs, her boss’s affair with his sister-in-law, her friend’s trick on her ex-husband post breakup of marriage, Aisha’s attempt to hook up her friend’s ex-husband with a random girl, the drinks, the Pakistani cricketer’s visit, and the final dramatic climax.
